It’s NYC Beer Week and Jimmy’s No. 43 is hosting “Rare Beer Night with Brad Japhe” on Tuesday, February 23rd. Check out some rare brews including Deschutes  Abyss, Rye Barrel 2015, The Alchemist  Focal Banger, Cigar City  Oak Aged Jai Alai, Finback and more.
The event also features a whole roast Lechon pig. Tickets are $55, available here.

Not in the mood for beer? Head to The Flatiron Room for “Scotch 101”, featuring  a discussion on peat, chill filtration, Scotland’s whisky making regions, how to nose and taste and even how to pronounce Gaelic words. The event will feature a signature cocktail, a tasting of six whiskey varieties and small bites. Tickets are $85, available here.

If you happen to be in Midtown East and have a $1 dollar and a dream, head over to Atwood Kitchen & Bar Room to celebrate their 1-Year Anniversary, also happening on the 23rd. Enjoy $1 Bloody Mary Oyster Shooters, Gazpacho Shots and Veal Meatballs while they last and get in the celebratory mood with a 3-piece Jazz band. There is no cover, just show up with a stack of singles at 968 Second Avenue.

Boozy Brunch Alert

Measure Lounge at Langham Place has launched a new brunch menu, and it’s the ultimate spot for all-day weekend drinking. Try the traditional cocktails like Aperol Spritz and Kir Royale, or check out the bottle drinks including the Cold-Brew Negroni, Bloody Mary sharing carafes and Made-to-Measure mimosas.

If you don’t know, now you know, Bounce Sporting Club is doing a Biggie Brunch installment of their new Saturday brunch party series. Craft Beverages Come to L’Amico

Check out “Meet the Craftsman” at L’Amico, where Beverage Director Percy Rodriguez has teamed up with friend Jimmy Ludwig of The Happy Hour Guys”.This ongoing series of events will feature a variety of craft beverage makers showcasing their tipples, with bites by Chef Laurent Tourondel. The first event, on Monday, February 29th, features Twin Fork Beer Co. and Greenhook Ginsmith. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door.

Now Open

There’s a new drinking spot in W’burg, now that The Regal is open on Hope Street, adjacent to the Williamsburg Bridge. Chef Seth Levine cooks up delicious fare while Beverage Director Steven Escobar has created a cocktail program featuring 14 wines by the glass, 8 craft beers on tap and a variety of specialty drinks like the Thai Mule with Thai chili-infused barrel-aged vodka, ginger beer and hellfire bitters

Head to the terrace at Hyatt Times Square’s Bar 54 and sip some drinks in The Bubbles – two cozy, clear, igloo-esque bubbles outfitted for winter imbibing. The Bubbles feature drinks by Julie Reiner and sweeping views from the Hudson to the East River.
