Top Chef Winner Brooke Williamson Launches Girl Grey Beer

Chef Brooke Williamson has been a favorite since we first got to know her on Top Chef Season 10, and of course, we were cheering her on for her comeback to win the top honors in Season 14. This Los Angeles based chef and restaurateur has an extremely impressive resume with several venues under her belt, and her latest venture is joining in the craft beer realm. Recently, Williamson launched Girl Grey, a Belgian-style ale in collaboration with The Bruery.

As a true Cali native, joining forces with the locale Orange County brewery made perfect sense.  She is also a huge fan of teas, especially Earl Grey, hence the name of the beer that evokes those flavors. Brooke describes it as, “Girl Grey is the perfect blend of creamy richness and complex floral notes, making for a wide variety of food pairing options. I’m inclined to go tart and sweet, like biscuits with lemon curd, or banana cream pie, but at the same time, it’s versatile and subtle enough to work with spiced mole chicken and toasted almond rice. It really is the perfect food beer.”

The beer is available for purchase via The Bruery’s website for nationwide delivery and available in nearly 30 states across the US. For those living or visiting LA or Orange County, fans can enjoy Girl Grey on tap at Brooke’s Playa del Rey restaurants, Playa Provisions and The Tripel, or The Bruery in Placentia, or the Bruery Terreux in Anaheim.

Cheers to that!
