It’s International Sherry Week and we are celebrating with the Cart Before The Horse cocktail served at Slowly Shirley. Made with Oloroso sherry, Angostura, absinthe and a bunch more super interesting ingredients, this low ABV drink has some serious flavor and is a must try.
Cart Before The Horse at Slowly Shirley
Ingredients
- .5 oz Oloroso Sherry
- 1 dash Angostura
- 1 dash Absinthe
- 1/2 tsp Lux Fernet
- 1 tsp Brown sugar
- 2 ml Acid phosphate
- 1 oz Orange juice
- 1.25 oz Carrot juice
- .5 oz Root beer syrup
- .75 oz 123 Añejo
- .75 oz Neisson El’ Esprit
Preparation
Shake ingredients with 3 cubes. Strain into large Pilsner glass and top with crushed ice. Garnish with a carrot stem and liquorice stick.
