Drink of the Week: Eastern Gimlet at Bar d’Eau

Summer in the city means outdoor drinking is mandatory, and we are more than happy to oblige.  We recently discovered Bar d’Eau thanks to our talented bartender friends Tim Cooper and Benjamin Wood.  These fine gents completely retooled the cocktail menu at the poolside terrace lounge, so there is serious cocktail cred with this duo and the fact that you can actually get a seat and not feel claustrophobic at Bar d’Eau keeps us going back for more!

The Drink of the Week is Bar d’Eau’s Eastern Gimlet. Cooper tells us that the cocktail is, “inspired by Tom Kha soup. Coconut and lime leaf are perfect add-ons to a classic gimlet. Ford’s Gin has a heavy botanical profile which balances out those flavors perfectly. Easy drinking at its finest.”
