Iconic Midtown Hudson Bar Now a Tequila-Focused Spot

Back in the day, Hudson Bar was one of the hippest hangouts in NYC, with it’s Philippe Starck decor and innovative cocktails. Now, it’s gotten an overhaul by hospitality honchos sbe and has relaunched as a tequila bar.

The “Jalisco-inspired lounge” will feature a carefully curated list of tequilas as well as tequila-based cocktails like the Casa Basil Paloma, a Cucumber Jalapeño margarita with Casamigos Blanco tequila, fresh lime juice simple syrup, muddled cucumbers and jalapeño, served on the rocks with cucumber and jalapeño garnish and a Blackberry Ginger margarita.

“Hudson Bar is an iconic Manhattan destination for both travelers and New Yorkers,” says Sam Nazarian, Founder and CEO of sbe. “We’re excited to introduce the next iteration of the lounge and invite new friends and old to come experience Hudson like never before.”

The newly imagined Hudson Bar features Mexican design elements including ceramics and pottery as well as teal agave wallcoverings, helping to transport guests to the blue agave fields of Jalisco.

Claes Landberg, General Manager of Hudson Hotel adds, “The new Hudson Bar is a vibrant, flair-driven gathering place for friends, and we’ve partnered with some of the most elite spirit partners in the market – from Casamigos to Avión – to offer an unrivaled menu of tequilas and tequila-forward cocktails.”
