The Jack Rose at The Pontchartrain Hotel New Orleans

QED Hospitality recently opened Jack Rose in the iconic The Pontchartrain Hotel, located in New Orleans’ historic Garden District.  The new dining establishment and living room-styled lounge is named after the cocktail (applejack, grenadine, lemon or lime juice) popularized in the ’20s and ’30s.

The apple brandy cocktail also appeared in Ernest Hemingway’s 1926 classic, “The Sun Also Rises,” and Tennessee Williams’ 1951 play, “The Rose Tattoo.”

This history contributed to the inspiration behind this elevated Jack Rose created by Jamie Pulford, Jack Rose’s Head Bartender.   Sip on The Jack Rose, while snacking on small plates under the Lil Wayne portrait in the Living Room, or in the garden Patio.
