Lift Up Your Spirits with Champagne and Alegría from Cirque du Soleil

Beloved by fans around the world, Alegría (‘joy’ in Spanish) is returning to the Big Top once more to share its timeless story of resilience and hope. In light of its 25th anniversary, Cirque du Soleil has reinterpreted its legendary Alegría through today’s lens—including new set design, musical arrangements, and costumes, created by Dominique Lemieux.

Alegría´s signature songs (the show’s theme song was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1995), stunning acrobatics, memorable characters and enchanting artistry have helped define the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil aesthetic.  With its joyful spirit, Alegría is an energizing force with a thirst for a brighter world -and, for champagne!

Magically, for the audience, this is quenched by one of the best-selling champagnes in the world (number one in France), Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Réserve, the official bubbles served under the Big Top at Cirque du Soleil´s VIP suite and concessions.

The highly drinkable and pale, straw-colored bubbly is a blend of the three main Champagne grapes -Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay.  Delicate bubbles bring white fruit aromas of apple, pear and peach to the nose. On the palate, fruity and softly balanced, with an acidity that provides a crisp finish.

For patrons who prefer their wine without bubbles, they can sip on their choice of Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc, Private Bin Rosé and Private Bin Pinot Noir from Villa Maria, New Zealand’s Most Awarded Winery.

Currently, Cirque du Soleil´s revival of Alegría is in Miami, performing under the Big Top next to Hard Rock Stadium, until February 17, 2020.  The production travels next to Houston, and other US cities.
