The popular seafood-focused eatery in Miami Beach´s South of Fifth neighborhood, The Local House, will be toasting National Oyster Day (August 5) with their boozy cocktail, Oyster & Vodka Are Up To No Good. But, no worries, if you can´t celebrate the bivalve on its special day as this oyster martini is also available on the current bar menu.
Made with vodka, Lillet Blanc, dry vermouth, a twist of lemon and, you guessed it…two oysters. This specialty drink is also served with Tabasco and a lemon wedge on the side for an added kick. was inspired by the seafood-focused eatery that the creator intended to have.
Regarding the inspiration for the drink: ¨The missing piece to the menu at the time was a seafood infused cocktail, and from this the Oyster martini was created. ¨ -shared Ciro Campagnoli, the owner of The Local House at the Sense Beach House.
