In a world that rarely pauses, Big Bar in the Loz Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, is inviting people to come to the bar and slow down with a story. Its new Fall Menu, The Big Bar Book Club, is not only about what’s inside the glass, but also what happens around it - the connection, people, energy, and the simple act of enjoying a moment. Each cocktail on the menu is inspired by a book that left an impression on  Big Bar's team ranging from timeless classics to graphic novels. Together, they form a curated collection of liquid stories that celebrate both curiosity, care and communal gathering.

The Big Bar Book Club cocktail menu goes beyond drinks: on the bar sits a tiny lending library, filled with used copies of every book that inspired a cocktail. Guests are encouraged to linger, read, borrow, and return. The goal isn’t just to simply serve cocktails to guests - it’s to create true community third space. A place where you can unplug for an hour, breathe a little slower, and rediscover the comfort of pages, people, and conversation.

Now celebrating fifteen years, Big Bar continues to anchor its community not through flashy spectacle, but welcoming sincerity. In the coming months, Big Bar plans partnerships with the local library and independent bookstores will extend their mission of offering monthly book clubs, reading drives, and local gatherings that remind us why neighborhood bars matter. Because sometimes, what we really need isn’t a place to drink - it’s a place to belong, to think, to feel connected to community again.
