Puerto Rico Cocktail Week (PRCW), the platform dedicated to the development of the hospitality and cocktail industry in Puerto Rico, announces its Summer Edition 2025, in partnership with Wyndham Palmas Beach and Golf Boutique Resort in Humacao. This marks the first time the summer edition will be held in the eastern region of the island, and it will take place from May 25 to 27, 2025.
Unlike its main edition in November, the summer edition is shorter, aiming to create economic, educational, and social impact in regions outside the metropolitan area, as successfully achieved in previous editions held in Salinas and Aguadilla.
As part of this edition, one of the world’s most renowned bartenders, David Ríos, joins Puerto Rico Cocktail Week. A global champion of World Class Diageo in 2013, Ríos has been named Best Bartender in Spain, Europe, and the world, and has served as the official mixologist for the Latin Grammys, the Ryder Cup, and the Goya Awards. During this special visit, he will offer educational seminars for industry professionals, sharing his knowledge on hospitality, innovation, and excellence in mixology.

Summer Edition 2025 Agenda:
- Sunday, May 25 – Social event for consumers: an experience to enjoy and sample cocktails from local and international brands, including non-alcoholic alternatives.
- Monday, May 26 (AM) – Educational seminars, including a masterclass by David Ríos.
- Monday, May 26 (PM) – Speed Rack Puerto Rico, an all-female bartending competition benefiting nonprofit organizations.
- Tuesday, May 27 – Special activations at various Official Bars across the island. Learn more at: https://prcocktailweek.com/official-bars/

All PRCW events contribute to the Tip Jar emergency fund, which offers financial, emotional, and professional support to bar and restaurant industry workers facing unexpected challenges.
“We’re excited to celebrate this fourth summer edition, featuring a visit from David Ríos and the fourth Speed Rack competition. For the first time, we’re bringing an educational component of this caliber to the eastern region of the island, reaffirming our commitment to deliver professional development tools directly to the regions and communities that need them most. We continue to elevate and showcase local talent to the world,” said Roberto Berdecia, co-founder of PRCW.
For her part, Marilin Rosario, Director of Communications and Public Relations at Wyndham Palmas, expressed her deep gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Puerto Rico Cocktail Week during its Summer Edition 2025. She highlighted that this partnership not only represents an excellent opportunity to educate their employees and give greater exposure to the Trova and Botánica bars, which will be part of the 2025-2026 Official Bars Program, but also to showcase Wyndham Palmas as an ideal venue for hosting events.
