Red, White & Booze To Go: 5 L.A. Spots To Hit Up This Memorial Day Weekend

The unofficial start of summer begins this Memorial Day weekend. Although activities may look different than years past, all you need is good food with all the fixings and festive drinks to make this strange time feel a little bit more familiar. Check out five spots in Los Angeles providing the fun MDW provisions to-go.

Conservatory

West Hollywood hotspot Conservatory is known for its super fun Memorial Day BBQ parties, but this year, they are helping locals bring the cookout spirit to their own home. For $95, their takeout Memorial Day Box includes Hickory Smoked Baby Back Ribs, 12 Hour Smoked Beef Ribs, Cassava Smoked Sausage, Potato Salad, Baked Beans and Grilled Street Corn. Conservatory got extra festive with their red, white and blue to-go cocktails for $10 each, or three for $28. Check out the Red Rocket made with Orendain Reposado Tequila, Aperol, Yellow Chartreuse, fresh-pressed watermelon juice and ginger cordial, the WHITE Streamer made with Tito’s Vodka, Crème de Banana, house-made horchata and ground cinnamon and the BLUE Angel made with High West Double Rye, blueberry and lemongrass elixir, ginger, lemon and mint.

Gus’s Barbeque  

 This Memorial Day, Gus’s Barbecue in South Pasadena will be serving up festive food items to go such as Southern Fried Chicken, burgers, sandwiches and Gus’s Real Pit BBQ offerings which include Memphis Baby Back Ribs, BBQ Brick Chicken, Texas Beef Brisket, St. Louis Spare Ribs, Peppercorn Crusted Tri-Tip, Smoked Sausage and the Carolina Style Pulled Pork. Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with some soul and sips. Georgia’s Restaurant at the Anaheim Packing House and Long Beach Exchange has put together its “Soul-Delicious” Memorial Day Family Packs, available all weekend and on Monday – for takeout, delivery and curbside pickup. The southern style goods include Fried Chicken Bucket, Nana’s Famous Cornbread, Fried Catfish, Smothered Pork Chops, Pulled Pork or Hot Links, Jambalaya and more. Georgia’s Restaurant will also be offering their made-to-order Hurricane cocktails, Georgia’s Peach Sangria, Mimosas and Bloody Marys, served in mason jars, along with wine and beer to step-up the Memorial Day celebration.
