Rooftop Cocktails to Sip at Sparrow in Downtown Fort Lauderdale

Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s newest –and best rooftop cocktail destination, Sparrow Lounge and Patio, is located on the 25th floor of The Dalmar, an urban resort style.  The décor of the gorgeous and colorful patio evokes America modernism of the 1950s and 1960s, and boasts a motorized retractable roof, spectacular wall mural and stunning skyline views.

The separate patio bar is accessed through the main bar lounge, which has its own unique style and cocktail menu. Both bars were created in partnership with Proprietors LLC, the lauded hospitality company, and team behind cocktail institution, Death & Co.

Rooftop Cocktails at Sparrow – Downtown Fort Lauderdale

The patio bar features a rainbow motif cocktail menu with drinks defined by their brilliant color tone.

RED

Delish, plus, perfectly balanced between tart and sweet; Plymouth Gin, Capalletti Aperitivo (a ruby red, wine-based Italian aperitif), Watermelon and Lime Juices and Giffard Pamplemousse Liqueur with spicy Tajin rim on the glass.

YELLOW

Sweet and potent; Espolon Reposado Tequila, Honey Lemonade, Chamomile Cocchi Americano, St Germain and Suze (bitter French aperitif).

GREEN

Refreshing and herbaceous; Green Tea Capurro Pisco, Cucumber, Chareau Aloe Liqueur (distilled from Aloe Vera and Cucumber), Lime Juice and Mineral Adjusted Seltzer Water; garnished with fresh Mint.

Other rooftop cocktails from the rainbow include:

MAGENTA – made with Sauvignon Blanc, Giffard Cassis, Clear Creek, Apple Brandy, Lemon Juice, Grenadine and topped with Seltzer.

BLUE – made with Rhum Clémant Première Canne, Dolin Blanc Vermouth, Pineapple & Lime Juices and Giffard Blue Curaçao.

VIOLET – made with Grey Goose Vodka, Grapefruit Juice & Cordial, Crème de Violette and topped with Sparkling Wine.

Although the main lounge and patio have separate cocktail menus, they do share the same full food menu.  And, not to be missed is the scrumptious Lobster Ceviche –more like a lobster salad with generous morsels of the beloved crustacean; made with coconut milk, cilantro and hearts of palm with a side of sweet potato chips.
