Foragers Table hosts the first “Smart Talk” on Monday, March 28th, complete with a southern-inspired menu. Guests can nosh on Deviled Eggs, Fried Green Tomato and Crab salad and Vivian Howard’s Roasted Catfish while sipping on the event’s signature drink, the Paper Lantern with bourbon, Carolina wild muscadine grape juice, black tea, lemon and ginger syrup. Wine drinkers will also enjoy Julien Braud Petillant-Naturel Methode Ancestrale NV, a Loire Valley sparkling wine, Michel Gassier Nostre Pais Blanc 2013, a Languedoc Grenache Blanc-Roussanne blend and Domaine de la Prebende Beaujolais 2014, a fresh, juicy Gamay from Kermit Lynch.

Sunday Wine Down

Blue Water Grill in Union Square is launching a new “Sunday Feast” on April 3rd, featuring special wine pairings along with a shellfish-themed menu. The family-style dinner – $58 per person – includes dishes like East Coast Oyster Escobeche, Lardo Draped Scallops, Calendar Islands Mussels Casino and Warm Sugared Doughnuts, washed down with a Crab Bloody Mary. Each course will also be paired with specially selected wine pairings, which can be purchased separately by the glass or the bottle.

Wine + BBQ Bash

Head to Astor Center on Wednesday, March 30th for a “California Winemaker BBQ Bash”, featuring over 35 varietals, from orange wine to fruit-focused zinfandel blends while savoring traditional barbecue dishes along with cheese and charcuterie. Tickets are $53.74, available here.

Drinking for Good

Drink scotch while helping the Holy Trinity Neighborhood Center raise money during this evening of The Macallan whiskies paired with light bites. The Holy Trinity Neighborhood Center serves nightly shelter to those in need while also serving a weekly Neighborhood Supper and a lunch to senior neighbors. Peep This

Easter may be over but you can still enjoy some of the holiday’s tasty treats at the W Times Square. The Peeps cocktail pairing menu and burlesque performances are running until March 31st in the Living Room lounge, featuring six different colorful and sweet cocktails including the Pin-Up, Lemon Peep-tini, The Egg Hunt and the Peter Cottontail Creamsicle, all garnished with the marshmallow treat.
