Say it loud, stand up and STAND PROUD! That is precisely the name of the Pride cocktail at Norwood, Stand Proud. In honor of NYC Pride, this dazzling rainbow & glitter cocktail which will be on-menu at Norwood in New York City. A donation of 5% of the proceeds will go to GLAAD. The cocktail is available now through the NYC Pride Parade taking place on June 24th. Here at Thirsty, we would like to wish our beautiful LGBTQ+ family and friends a very Happy Pride!
Created by the wildly creative Cody Goldstein, he says of the drink, “Pride symbolizes celebration and freedom of one’s self-expression. When creating our STAND PROUD cocktail, we wanted it to be fun, festive, colorful, and most importantly glittery. This drink is the glitter bomb you never knew you needed. We start with base of NOLET’S Silver Gin, which brings our beautiful botanicals of peach and rose. That gets complimented with some chamomile, elderflower and citrus notes. Using egg whites, we whipped this really light and air froth on top of the drink. We then of course had to rim the glass with gold and top it with edible rainbow glitter.”
Stand Proud at Norwood
Stand Proud Recipe
- 2 oz NOLET’S Silver
- 1/2 oz chamomile syrup
- 1/2 oz elderflower
- 3/4 oz lime juice
- 2 dashes grapefruit bitters
- 1 egg white
- edible glitter
Method: Add all ingredients in a shaker and dry shake for 10 seconds to aerate egg whites. Add ice and shake again until cold. Strain in to a coupe glass and garnish with edible glitter.
