Tipsy Carrot at Besame Steamboat Springs

Any trip to Steamboat Springs deserves a trip to Bésame . Not only is the sister restaurant to the uber-popular Mambo serving up a well-regarded menu of Latin fusion cuisine – they recently hosted a dinner at the venerable James Beard House in NYC – but the drinks are worth the trip, too.

Full of flavor and a serious kick, one to order at Bésame is the Tipsy Carrot, made with blanco tequila, carrot juice, lime juice and habañero syrup.

“The Besame Tipsy Carrot is a little bit spicy, a little bit healthy and a lot boozy!” restaurateur Hannah Hopkins tells thirsty. “Get Tipsy at Besame!”

Tipsy Carrot recipe + preparation

  • 1.5 oz Herradura Blanco
  • 1.5 oz carrot juice
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • .75 oz habanero syrup
  • 4 drops Hellfire bitters

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Pour into a salt-rimmed glass. Add a few more ice cubes to fill. Serve in a Margarita glass with a smoked salt rim with micro cilantro and Fresno chili slice.
