The Traveller Bar pop-up is an exclusive cocktail experience currently on a curated cross-country tour visiting all Loews Hotels in the United States – and it’s heading to Miami from August 3rd until the end of August. The pop-up bar, constructed out of an old elevator car, will be located at Bar Collins in the Loews Miami Beach Hotel on South Beach.

The Traveller Bar pays homage to “Golden Age of Cocktails” and the pioneers of American cocktail culture. At the zinc-topped bar, take a seat on one of the four leather bar stools, and Bar Collins’ mixologist, Frantz Ducheine. will handcraft a classic cocktail from a menu of eight, including the Daiquiri, Fedora, and Gin Fix.

Ingredients/Preparation: The Botantist Gin, fresh Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup & 5 fresh Raspberries. Shake all ingredients with ice, strained into rocks glass filled with crushed ice, and garnish with raspberries. – 1862, Bar-Tender’s Guide by Jerry P. Thomas.
In addition to the libations, visitors will find an impressive library of nearly 50 rare and vintage cocktail books, including a first-edition of the oldest cocktail recipe book ever written – the Bar-Tender’s Guide by Jerry P. Thomas. The full library can be accessed digitally on the iPads available on the bar counter.
“We wanted to create a truly authentic and culturally relevant, yet light hearted, intimate and engaging beverage concept for cocktail enthusiasts, and were able to draw inspiration from the classic cocktail era to engage our guests and that could also be shared across our hotel portfolio,” said Mark Weiss, Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage at Loews Hotels. The next Loews Hotel destination stops for the pop-up bar include Minneapolis and Orlando.
