Where to Sip a Gin and Tonic in Los Angeles

Could the humble gin and tonic perhaps be one of the world’s greatest cocktail creations? We tend to think so. In honor of International Gin + Tonic Day on Tuesday April 9, check out one of these spots to sip gin in L.A.

The Bazaar by José Andres

Paying homage to José Andrés favorite cocktail and International Gin & Tonic Day on April 9, The Bazaar by José Andrés at SLS Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly Hills, will be running some whimsical, over-the-top G&T specials throughout the month of April. The Bazaar’s G&T Festival menu features over half dozen inventive variations of the classic cocktails including G&T Spheres, Vermont Bitter with Very botanical, orange, lemon, sangria macerate and the Olive G&T with Olive cloud, gin mare, tonic 1738, orange and thyme. In addition, a build-your-own G&T unlike any other, the Vacuum Siphon G&T allows guests to customize their perfect gin tableside, choosing from an array of botanicals, herbs, and spices to transform vodka into gin, which is then mixed with a tonic or other mixer of their choosing. It’s $40 and meant for two people.

In the spirit of Europe’s grand lobby lounges, Bar Figueroa offers iconic cocktails, authentic Gintonicos by Dushan Zaric and a light, all-day menu. Here, inside Hotel Figueroa, Spanish colonial architecture is offset with modern art installations, creating a distinctly Downtown LA experience. Combined with its elegantly curved bar and plush lounge seating, Bar Figueroa is a TOTALLY stylish cocktail destination for locals and visitors, alike. We recommend ordering the Hendrick’s Gin + Tonic served over dry ice.
