Drink of the Week: The Sugarfoot at The Wayland

Just because summer is over and the cold weather is starting to take over, we aren’t ready to put away the rum. Created by The Wayland‘s Mackenzie Gleason, The Sugarfoot cocktail combines Afrohead rum with lemon and lime juice, bitters, Sarsaparilla syrup and egg white or a frothy, delicious drink which Gleason says channel’s the flavor of root beer.

Afrohead uses bourbon barrels in the 7-year aging process for a wonderful mixture of honey, vanilla, and oak accents. So put away the scotch for now and sip on this drink instead.
