East Breeze at The Surf Lodge in Montauk

Every summer, The Surf Lodge in Montauk becomes one of the hottest spots outside of Manhattan for a night of waterfront drinking with friends while taking in live music. But despite the white-hot scene at this perennial fave, The Surf Lodge is also responsible for putting out some serious cocktails, like the East Breeze, a refreshing mix of vodka, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice, and blackberry puree.

“Surf Lodge’s summer cocktail menu features an array of light and healthy serves,” Remi Shobitan, The Surf Lodge’s House Mixologist tells thirsty of the cocktail, explaining that it’s an “elevated take on the summertime favorite, vodka lemonade. We’re choosing high-quality spirits made with natural ingredients and opting for hydrating fresh fruit or fruit purees instead of artificially sweetened mixers.”

And while the season is about halfway finished, there is still more than enough time to sip the East Breeze, or one of the other cocktails at The Surf Lodge made specifically for summertime sipping, with a focus on all-natural, fresh ingredients.

“Here at Surf, we want guests to enjoy their summer outings without worrying about calorie or sugar intake,” says Shobitan. “In addition to the East Breeze, we’ve crafted a custom Grey Goose and soda cocktail for sippers looking for the ultimate clean drink. Made with just three ingredients – vodka, chilled soda water, and a blend of handpicked lemongrass, grapefruit, and pineapple flavor essences, topped with fresh fruit—the vodka soda is light, refreshing, and flavorful without any syrupy sweeteners.”
