The Test at Nashville’s Fort Louise

Big things are happening at Fort Louise in Nashville. The friendly spot, which touts itself as “cozy AF” is helping to bring guests together with their shareable punch cocktail, The Test.

Made with a combo of rum, absinthe, pineapple and orange juice, The Test is perfect for a group and served in a large ewer (a large widemouthed jug FYI), with a ladle, natch, for easy drinking with some pals (one serving of The Test easily serves four).

“The Test is one of Fort Louise’s most popular drinks because it ‘s made for a group of people and is served in an ewer,” explains Greg Biggers, chef and co-owner of Fort Louise. “The inspiration for The Test came from the story about the Greek Goddess Iris who carried an ewer of water and anyone untrue who drank from her vessel drifted to sleep.”

Happy (large format) drinking.
