Wine and Scotch tasting classes at Anfora
Winter has been rough: it’s time to treat yourself. Anfora kicked off their beverage class series on January 25 with a night of Eastern European wines, and will follow that one up with a night of Scotch and Scotch cocktails on February 1. Each class costs $45 per person and runs from 3:30 to 5p.m. Tickets are available for purchase here.

Turley Wine Tasting at The Breslin
Per Eater, Christina Turley from Turley Wines is hosting a tasting of some new offerings from her winery at the Breslin on Friday, January 31. The wines will be paired with a three-course, $90 lunch prepared by chef April Bloomfield, including a roasted carrot salad with avocado, braised lamb shoulder and duck fat fried potatoes. Le Du’s Wines hosts a chili cook-off slash cocktail tasting
Also coming from Eater, former Daniel sommelier Jean-Luc Le Du will be hosting a chili-making competition between the recipes of renowned chefs Jonathan Waxman and Daniel Boulud at Le Du’s Wines on Saturday, February 1 from 4 – 7 pm. The event will also include tastings of two dozen Chateauneuf du Pape and various whiskeys and bourbons. NO reason not to come – this event is FREE!
