I Got You Babe at Seaworthy in New Orleans

As bartenders and industry folk descend on New Orleans this week for the annual Tales of The Cocktail fest, venues around the city will be swarmed with discerning drinkers, professional and amateur alike. That means all the bars and restaurants all around New Orleans will be on the top of their game, showcasing exciting new drinks and creative concoctions.

One to try while in the Big Easy? The I Got You, Babe cocktail at Seaworthy by the team from the Ace Hotel and waterfront oyster spot Grand Banks in NYC. Made with gin, yellow chartreuse, strawberry syrup and lemon, the I Got You, Babe is a boozy yet refreshing tipple – key for those extra-hot days and nights down South.

“The I Got You, Babe is in the long line of Cher-inspired cocktails at Seaworthy; she is truly the muse of mixology,” Beverage Director Matt Ray tells thirsty. “This is a classic gin-sour with yellow chartreuse, whose distilled-honey notes complement the saffron-infused gin we utilize here. We juice fresh strawberries in-house and make a strawberry simple syrup that not only adds a juicy pop to this cocktail, but also a lovely color.”
