Nicky’s Coal Fired in Nashville is not your average pizza place. In fact, it’s far from it, with pizza made in a custom-built coal-burning oven (dubbed Enrico The Oven by Chef Tony Galzin), a variety of decadent pastas and a rotating antipasti menu.
But we are here for the cocktails, and the ones at Nicky’s Coal Fired are just as satisfying as Chef Galzin’s creations. Take the #1 Crush, a blend of gin, Campari, fresh honey, muddled strawberry and citrus, topped with sparkling rosé.
“The #1 Crush is kind of a cross between a Bramble and a French 75,” explains Beverage Director Tracy Jenkins. “The bitterness of the Campari balances perfectly with the sweetness of the honey. The citrus flavors add a little kick. It’s easy to make and is the perfectly crisp summer cocktail.”
