Pajama Program & The Chocolate Factory Parties To Support Children

Party with a purpose this spring at Pajama Program’s 2019 Annual Gala to help ensure that all children are guaranteed a safe and restful sleep.  This year’s event will be held on Wednesday, May 1st at Capitale in New York City.  The theme for 2019 is “Pajama Program & the Chocolate Factory” as an homage to the children’s novel by British author Roald Dahl. Harlem Chocolate Factory will be featuring a signature Chocolate Martini for gala guests to indulge in their adult sweet-tooth cravings. Of course, there will be plenty of drinks flowing to pair with a great cause throughout the evening.

“We’re celebrating caregivers this year at Pajama Program’s annual gala–Pajama Program and the Chocolate Factory. Just as Charlie had Grandpa Joe, all children thrive on loving connections with a caregiver,” shares Jamie Dyce, Executive Director at Pajama Program. It’s especially important at bedtime, when caregivers help children go to sleep and wake up rested and ready for what the next day may bring. For children facing uncertainty in their lives, a comforting bedtime routine is a strong antidote during challenging times. Caregivers who tuck children in at night can make a huge difference, just like our supporters at this year’s gala who have joined our mission to promote a comforting bedtime routine to help ALL children thrive, use these isolation.”

Founded in 2001, Pajama Program aims to ensure that all children, especially those in shelters or temporary housing, have the opportunity to have a loving bedtime and good night’s rest so that they can have a positive start to the day feeling empowered in school or play. Pajama Program board member and TV personality/celebrity chef Carla Hall will return as the gala’s live auction “Auctioneer Extraordinaire.” This year, we will honor Bruce W. Jaffe, Principal of MG Engineering D.P.C. and a tireless supporter of Pajama Program.

About Pajama Program

From Pajama Program Organizers: Pajama Program, we know that good nights are good days and that’s why our mission is to promote and support a comforting bedtime routine for all children so they can thrive. When a child experiences instability, a comforting bedtime routine may be one constant they can look forward to. It may also be challenging to achieve, for reasons beyond their control. We’re focused on expanding our programming and support for children and their caregivers, which will help build the foundation of a good night for a good day.
